Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant vitamin that cannot be made by the horse and must be obtained from the diet. It is considered a vital antioxidant that supports muscle function, immunity, reproduction, skin, and the nervous system— especially important for horses in work, on low quality forage, oil-rich diets, older horses, and breeding animals. Many Vitamin E supplements use cheaper synthetic forms; Science Supplement Natural E provides up to double the biological activity, and includes organic selenium for optimal effectiveness, delivering 3000 IU Vitamin E plus 1 mg selenium per day.
